The news of designing and selling T-shirts online is not new. However, Tespring has revolutionized the concept of e-commerce. From T-shirt design to promotion (marketing through various social media), ordering, product production and delivery – Tespring has introduced new trends. As a result, Teespring has quickly become popular among designers, distinguishing itself from other T-shirt production companies.
What is Teaspring?

Teespring (www.teespring.com) is a 100% free online platform for designing and selling custom t-shirts. The US-based company was founded in 2011 by Walker Williams and Evan Stites-Clayton in Providence, the capital of Rhode Island.

How does Teaspring work?
Teaspring basically invites various designs suitable for printing on T-shirts from graphic designers. Designers use Tipping’s own custom tools, or upload designs made with other designing tools to print on a variety of shirts in specific categories (e.g., basic, longsleeve, tank tops, hoodies, V-neck, etc.). However, the condition for printing is that customers will have to pre-order a certain number of T-shirts of that design online within the stipulated time. And to ensure that, designers promote their designed T-shirts through various contacts. The Teaspring Authority selects the design for print only after a specified number of T-shirts are ordered within the stipulated time. Teaspring t-shirts are then shipped to their respective customers within the allotted time. The dividend from this deal is shared by Tespring and the designer in a fixed proportion.
Teaspring is suitable for whom?
Anyone with a minimalist idea about designing can design a t-shirt using Teaspring’s custom tools. And those who are fairly experienced in designing can integrate custom tools as well as designs created using other tools with the Teaspring tool. However, many campaigns have become popular and successful using only custom tool features (text / clip-art / color). In this case, a good, unique idea is enough.
However, the maximum success of the campaign depends on the promotion of the design. The more people who have a good idea about marketing online, especially through social media, the greater their success. This is not always the case with paid marketing; Good success is also achieved through free, organic marketing. The important thing is to design the product by generating ideas for the community you are targeting and presenting to them using all possible methods.
Teaspring Campaign
Designing, pricing, setting the minimum number of t-shirts to be sold within the allotted time, setting goals, promoting various ways (usually paid / organic on Facebook in most cases) to achieve the goal, and receiving maximum number of orders at that time. The confirmation process is known as the campaign in the Teespring community. These aspects of the campaign are edited by the designer himself, with the subsequent issues (pre-ordering, printing, shipment, etc.) being handled by the Teaspring authorities.
The beginning and end of a Teaspring campaign
At this stage we will look at how to manage a Teaspring campaign. The steps to be taken in this case are discussed step by step below.

  1. Design Creation: First click on the Start Designing link from the Teespring website (https://teespring.com). As a result, Tespring has its own custom tooling page for designing. From there you can design T-shirt using the following features.
    A) Text: Text input from text tab, font selection, font color, text outline, outline color, etc. are determine.

However, to determine the text size, the text box of the canvas has to be scaled.

B) Art: To add clip-art to the design, one or more matching art from different categories can be added by clicking the Browse Artwork button under the Art tab. Or, you can add your own design by clicking on the Upload Your Own button.

C) T-shirt color selection: The color of the T-shirt can be selected from the color palette on the right side of the canvas.
D) T-shirt style selection: From the design and style dropdown, you have to select any one design from different categories and the specific style t-shirt from that category. However, it is better to complete this work before starting the design.

Once the design is complete, click on the Sell This button.

  1. Goal Setting: This step determines the minimum number of T-shirts to be printed if ordered. It also shows the potential profit that comes from multiplying the number of T-shirts with the base price of the T-shirt. However, selecting additional designs, styles and colors from here displays a range of estimated prices; This means that it is indeterminate for a reasonable reason (since it is not possible to predict which color and style will meet your sales goal, and the price for each color or design must be different).

When the setting is finished, click on the Next button.

  1. Adding a description:
    A) Campaign Title: In this section you have to write a campaign title which is interesting and relevant to the design.
    B) Description: A campaign based description for the campaign is typed in this section. Notably, some basic formatting can be done from the toolbar if you want in the description texts.
    C) Category and Sub-Category: From here you can select the category and sub-category of the target audience for the campaign.
    D) Campaign Length: How long the campaign will run is specified here. Generally any length can be selected from minimum 3 days to maximum 22 days.
    E) URL: A URL for the t-shirt on the Tespring website can be set from here.
    F) Display Options: If the front and back of the t-shirt are designed on both sides, which side will be the default on the website can be determined under the display options.
    Finally, the campaign can be started by clicking on the LAUNCH button.

In this case, the campaign can be started using Facebook, Gmail or other email services. So the product will now be live on Tespring’s website and anyone can order.
If you want to make any modifications to the campaign or to access it, you have to click on the Campaigns link from the Tespring account dropdown. All campaigns created here are included. Modifications can be made separately for each campaign. That’s why you have to complete it by clicking on the edit, setting, analytics, etc. icons on the right side of the campaigns. In general, the Account Dashboard controls all settings, including the current status of the campaign (orders, payment information). But to use the important settings, you must apply good skills and analytical ability. In that case, other campaigners, including Tispring’s official Facebook page and YouTube channel, can be followed to gain ideas.
However, the effective part of the Teaspring campaign is basically to achieve the goal within the allotted time through online marketing of the product in all possible ways.
